SHAMI NUGGETS

Ingredients:

Beef 1/2 kg
Gram lentils 1/2 cup
Green chillies 6
Ginger/garlic paste 1 tbsp
Potatoes (peeled and cut) 2
Onion 1
Egg (beaten) 1
Hot spices powder 1 tsp
Red chillies (crushed) 1 tsp
Eggs (boiled and finely cut) 2 White
sesame seeds
2 tbsp
Fresh coriander (chopped) 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Oil for frying

 

Method:

  • Boil beef with ginger/garlic, green chillies, onion, potatoes, gram lentils and 4 cups water in a pot; cook till tender.
  • Cool and blend in a blender.
  • Put the blended mixture, salt, hot spices powder, coriander, boiled eggs and beaten egg in a bowl and mix.
  • Place an aluminium foil over a tray; spread mixture over it and sprinkle sesame seeds.
  • Cut rounds, squares or stars with the help of a cookie cutter.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan; fry nuggets till golden and remove on absorbent paper.
